You’ll have the opportunity to meet with our team, learn about your treatment options, discuss financing, and more. You may even be able to get your braces on the same day! If you’re wondering what your appointment will look like from start to finish, here’s your free consultation itinerary.
Step One: Meet the Team
At WOW! Smiles ™, you’re not just a number. You matter! From the moment you walk through the door at one of our smile centers, you’ll feel so comfortable with the team. We’ll welcome you when you come in and show you around the office to give you the full WOW! experience.

Step Two: Confirm Your Patient Health Forms Are Correct & Insurance Info Is Up To Date
You’ll want to fill out your patient health forms before your appointment so we can get right to treating your smile when you arrive. Completing this paperwork and insurance verification prior to your exam will allow our team to gather all the information necessary to set you up for success and save YOU time in the long run! Simply Log into your online portal to complete the forms prior to your visit: Patient Portal.
While you wait to go back for your initial exam, review your patient health forms to confirm that the information we’ve entered is accurate.
Be sure to bring:
- Any additional X-rays from your dentist that are necessary for your pending dental work
- A list of medications you’re currently taking
- Medical and dental insurance information
You can enjoy our comfortable waiting room while we get everything set up for you to meet your treatment coordinator and doctor. We have games in the lobby for the kids. You can enjoy our informative TC screens that share the latest info about our office, answer questions about treatment, feature ways to connect with us on Social Media, and show you how to win cool WOW! Swag!
Please let us know if you have a medical condition that could affect your treatment, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc. or if you are on any medications like heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.
Step Three: Initial Exam
When we call you back, you’ll get the opportunity to meet your treatment coordinator who will be your one-on-one guide through every step of your orthodontic treatment process. They’ll explain the orthodontic treatment process in detail and help you out with financing later.
Next, we’ll conduct your initial exam. Our friendly records clinician will greet you and conduct a series of X-rays. Then we’ll pass those images along to your orthodontist for review and treatment recommendation.
Step Four: Discuss Treatment Options
After your initial exam, you’ll meet with one of our outstanding WOW! Smiles ™ orthodontists. By this point, they’ve already reviewed your dental images and are ready to discuss your unique treatment plan so you can make the best-informed decision. At WOW! Smiles ™, we offer two treatment options so that you can choose the best one for you and your lifestyle.
Pitts 21 Metal Braces: Metal braces are our most popular treatment method, and they’re probably the first method that comes to mind when you think about traditional orthodontics. Metal braces are a heavy-duty method for fixing moderate to severe orthodontic issues. Traditional braces straighten your smile over 12-36 months using a system of brackets and wires. Our Pitts 21 bracket system is innovative as the braces are self-ligating and conveniently allow for quicker results and fewer adjustments over time!
Invisalign: This treatment option uses a series of clear plastic trays that gradually shift your smile in line over time. Rather than using the bulky brackets and wires of traditional braces, Invisalign straightens your teeth almost invisibly, so you can enjoy the perks of a beautiful grin even while undergoing treatment. Invisalign is an excellent option for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic issues, and treatment can take as little as six months to complete.
