In the early years of orthodontics, braces were extremely bulky, uncomfortable, and just plain unattractive.
The industry has come a long way as far as orthodontic technology is concerned, and we’re excited to offer the latest and greatest self-ligating braces to our patients at WOW! Smiles.
Our Pitts 21 self-ligating braces are a revolutionary treatment option that provides greater comfort, faster results, and fewer appointments. Sounds great, right?
These braces are unique because it uses low-friction, light force to move your teeth into place with greater control, and better results.
Instead of using elastics to hold the wire in place, Pitts 21 brackets use a slide mechanism. This puts less pressure on your teeth and makes treatment more comfortable.
The brackets are smaller too, which also helps with your comfort level (and makes them less noticeable than some other bracket types).
Clear Aligners & Invisalign
Unlike traditional braces, this kind of orthodontic treatment doesn’t use brackets and wires to straighten your teeth. The Invisalign system and our customized clear aligners use clear trays that are removable and nearly invisible.
Their soft plastic also means no friction or abrasions inside your mouth, so they’re more comfortable to wear. You’ll change the aligners weekly for the next in the series, and when worn, the recommended 20-22 hours per day will gradually move your teeth into the best position for your smile.
